Qantas Selling Care Packs for $25

Qantas care packDo you know somebody who is missing travel or doing it tough under the current Victorian lockdown? You can now brighten up their day by sending them a Qantas care pack!

Qantas has begun selling care packages which include business class pyjamas, amenity kits, tim tams, tea and bags of the smoked almonds served in Qantas First class. They can be sent anywhere in Australia and cost $25 or 4,350 Qantas Frequent Flyer points, including delivery.

Each Qantas care pack contains:

  • 1 Qantas Business Class sleeper suit L/XL (suitable for most shapes and sizes)
  • 1 Qantas Curates Business Class amenity kit featuring ASPAR Travel Essentials (Sweet Orange & Shea Hand Cream, Ultra Hydrating Face Moisturiser & Sweet Orange Lip Balm)
  • 12 individually wrapped Tim Tams
  • 200gram pack of smoked almonds (served in Qantas First Class)
  • Packet of 10 T2 Lemongrass and Ginger tea bags

With international flights off the cards for the foreseeable future, these care packs repurpose excess stock that would normally be offered to customers in premium cabins. The airline normally orders this stock in bulk, well in advance, and they are now just sitting in storage.

Qantas decided that the excess pyjamas, amenity kits and snacks could be put to better use by cheering people up.

“We already provide goods to some of our charity partners including Oz Harvest and Neil Perry’s Hope Delivery initiative but these packs offer Australians the opportunity to reach out to those they’re separated from due to border restrictions and lockdowns,” Qantas Executive Manager of Product and Service, Phil Capps said.

“Qantas PJs are always popular, and with people spending a lot more time at home and wishing they were travelling somewhere, we think receiving a surprise pair in the mail will be very well received. And probably very well-worn by the end of all this.”

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can order up to 10 packs via the Qantas Shopping Rewards Store. There are options with both blue and charcoal amenity kit designs.

When shopping at the Qantas Store, the price will be displayed in Qantas points by default. But you can choose to pay in cash (and also earn 2 Qantas points per $1 spent) by using the slider on the checkout page.
