AFF Gold and Platinum members can get 20% off Qantas Club membership fees!

Here’s how the discount works…

About AFF Gold & Platinum membership

AFF Gold membership costs $75 per year. The discounted Qantas Club membership is worth more than this, so AFF Gold literally pays for itself! In addition, AFF Gold members can access benefits including discounts with LoungePair & Frequent Flyer Concierge, access to our library of past webinars and an enhanced viewing experience on the AFF forum.

Alternatively, AFF Platinum membership costs $195 per year. This comes with the same Qantas Club discount, as well as full access to our live webinars and Frequent Flyer Training courses.

Discounted Qantas Club membership rates for AFF members

You can join or renew Qantas Club membership for 1, 2 or 4 years using our 20% discount. The discount applies to the membership or renewal fee, but doesn’t apply to the one-off joining fee for new members. (The join fee is $129.)

As of 18 April 2024, this is what you could expect to pay to join or renew Qantas Club membership through AFF (including the joining fee for new members):

Membership typeAFF member price
1-year new membership$689 (normally $828)
1-year renewal$504 (normally $629)
2-year new membership$1,169 (normally $1,428)
2-year renewal$936 (normally $1,169)

How to claim your AFF discount

If you’re an AFF Gold or Platinum member, you can claim your 20% Qantas Club discount by heading to the AFF Member Lounge. Scroll down to the “Member discounts” section, then click “Get your discount” below the Qantas Club section:

Claim your Qantas Club discount from the AFF Member Lounge.

You’ll need to be logged into your AFF account to view this option. If you can’t see the “Get your discount” button, you can find the login button either in the left sidebar, or in the top-right corner if you’re viewing the page on a mobile device.

You’ll then need to complete a short questionnaire. This asks for details such as your Qantas Frequent Flyer number, email address and the number of years you wish to join or renew Qantas Club membership.

You’ll be asked to complete a short questionnaire.

Once you’ve submitted this questionnaire, we’ll email you within 1-2 business days with further instructions. You’ll receive a personal promo code, which you can enter when purchasing or renewing your membership on the Qantas website.

We’ll provide further details in the email that we send you.

There’s a different process if you’ve been in a corporate scheme before

Please note that if you have ever held Qantas Club membership via a corporate scheme, including with AFF until 2023, you will need to follow a different procedure.

If you first call the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre to remove yourself from your previous/current corporate scheme, you’ll then be able to follow the same procedure as shown above. You’ll also then be able to take advantage of the 4-year membership option.

Otherwise, rather than using a promo code on the Qantas website, you’ll need to fill out a PDF form that we’ll send you one last time. We’ll then process your renewal on your behalf. If this applies to you, unfortunately you will also only be able to purchase or renew Qantas Club membership for 1 or 2 years.

If you’re not sure whether you’ve previously been part of a corporate scheme, you can enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer number on the website for Qantas Club renewals. If you have the option to enter a promo code, then you have not been part of a corporate scheme before – this means you can claim the 20% discount online and have the option of a 4-year membership.

These are only temporary restrictions. We are working with Qantas to streamline this process going forward.

Not available to New Zealand residents

Currently, for reasons beyond our control, New Zealand residents are unfortunately unable to use the AFF Qantas Club discount.
