Wondering how to redeem your credit card rewards points? To help you in deciding which frequent flyer or loyalty program to transfer your credit card points to, and calculate how many points you’ll receive, we’ve put together the free AFF Credit Card Points Transfer Assistant!
If you have an Australian credit card that earns points with the bank’s own loyalty program, you’ll generally have the option to transfer those points as required to multiple different airline frequent flyer programs of your choice.
You can also choose to redeem your credit card loyalty points directly for things like gift cards, cash back and merchandise, but this is typically poor value. If you wish to redeem your points for award flights or upgrades instead, transferring them to an airline’s frequent flyer program is likely to provide better value.

Notes
- It is not generally possible to transfer points from Australian credit card rewards programs to Qantas Frequent Flyer. To earn Qantas points from your credit card spend, you’ll need to opt-in to earning Qantas points exclusively (instead of points from your bank’s own loyalty program) or choose a co-branded Qantas Frequent Flyer credit card. Exceptions in Australia are the Amex Platinum & Centurion charge cards.
- Bankwest More Rewards and Macquarie Rewards are not included in the AFF Points Transfer Assistant Tool because they do not offer the ability to transfer points to other loyalty programs.
