Frequent Asked Questions (FAQs)
Only AMEX Ascent Premium points can be transferred to Qantas Frequent Flyer. If you want to earn Qantas points but don’t earn Ascent Premium points, you could consider an AMEX Qantas co-branded card. Alternatively, you could upgrade to a card that does earn Amex Ascent Premium points or transfer to Qantas Frequent Flyer via Everyday Rewards.
All forms of American Express Membership Rewards points do not expire as long as your account is active and in good standing. However, if you close your account or miss payments, you’ll have 30 days to use your points before they’re forfeited.
You can transfer AMEX Membership Rewards points to airline partners including Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Virgin Australia, Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates and Etihad. For hotel programs, you can transfer points to Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton Honors.
