Marriott Bonvoy Status Match [2020]

Marriott Bonvoy Status Match [2020]
Get a Marriott Bonvoy status match with this offer.
Marriott Bonvoy has launched a brand new status match & challenge for members with existing Accor, Hilton, Hyatt or IHG status.

If you currently hold status with one of these four competing hotel loyalty programs, you can now receive equivalent status with Marriott Bonvoy for 90 days at no cost. Once the status match is processed, you’ll have 90 days to complete a challenge to retain your status until February 2022. The challenge criteria is as follows:

  • Marriott Bonvoy Gold – stay 5 nights within 90 days
  • Marriott Bonvoy Platinum – stay 15 nights within 90 days

The following loyalty members are eligible for the Marriott Bonvoy Gold status match:

  • Accor ALL Gold
  • World of Hyatt Explorist

And the following loyalty members are eligible for the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum status match:

  • Accor ALL Platinum & Diamond
  • Hilton Honors Gold & Platinum
  • World of Hyatt Globalist
  • IHG Rewards Club Platinum & Spire

If you’re eligible for this relatively generous offer, you can apply for a Marriott Bonvoy status match on the Marriott website. You’ll need to upload proof of your current elite status with another program, and a screenshot showing proof of at least one stay with that hotel chain in the past year.

Marriott says to allow 10 business days for your request to be processed. Once processed, you’ll be upgraded within 48 hours. Your 90-day status trial period will start then.

The following brands participate in the Marriott Bonvoy program; however stays at Marriott Executive Apartments or Homes and Villas by Marriott International will not count towards this challenge.

Paid nights at Marriott properties will count towards the status challenge, but not award nights. Full terms & conditions are available on the dedicated Marriott website.

Marriott has not listed an end date for this promotion, but says that the offer is limited to an undisclosed number of participants. So if you’re thinking of applying, it’s probably better to do so sooner rather than later. That said, there’s little point in applying now if you’re not planning to stay at any Marriott-affiliated hotels in the next 90 days.

The existing Marriott Bonvoy status challenge has been suspended while this promotion is running.
