AFF on AIR Podcast #33: Coming HomeLast week, Matt was fortunate to be able to return home to Australia. But some Australians that are still stranded overseas have not been so lucky. In Episode 33 of the AFF on AIR podcast, Matt chats to Australian travellers that are currently stuck in Peru and India.

Yasmin Uzunlar is one of around 200 Australians still stranded in Peru, where the local government called a sudden and unprecedented nationwide lockdown on 15 March – several days before the Australian government began advising travellers to return home. Despite her best efforts, it was impossible for Yasmin to leave Cusco before Peru’s 15-day nationwide lockdown – which has now been extended – came into force. She is still in Cusco and doesn’t know when she’ll be able to come home. You can hear Yasmin’s story on this episode of the podcast.

This episode also covers the latest travel news and developments from the past fortnight, and pays tribute to the final Qantas Boeing 747 passenger flight to land in Sydney.
