2017 is fast coming to an end! As our members reminisce on the year of travel that was, they’re also busy planning their travel adventures for 2018!

AFF members are a well-travelled bunch, and they have travel planned to almost every part of the world! Destinations on our members’ 2018 travel plans include Singapore, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Japan, Brazil, Tanzania, the Galapagos Islands and many, many others! Although, we’re yet to hear from anyone planning a visit to Antarctica next year.

Of the more notable trips, one member will be flying on Qantas’ inaugural non-stop flight from Perth to London next March. Another member will visit Russia for the 2018 World Cup, and several members are heading to Hong Kong for the annual AFF lounge crawl.

The 2018 travel plans of numerous AFF’ers include flying First class for the first time, thanks to frequent flyer points. Meanwhile, one member is looking forward to a round-the-world trip in Business class. They’ve diligently saved up enough Qantas points to book a Qantas Oneworld Award and plan to visit the United States, Canada, Scotland and France.

It’s a great time to be travelling! International airfares are lower than ever and, on the whole, visa restrictions are being liberalised. For example, it’s now possible to visit Belarus without a visa and Brazil has recently introduced online visas.

We look forward to reading lots of interesting member trip reports & reviews in 2018! All AFF members are most welcome to post a trip report about their travels. These trip reports are a great source of travel inspiration for other readers.
