Our Platinum members are in a flurry with rumours that the Qantas dedicated Platinum member’s help desk may be coming to a close in the coming months. However, the crisis may be unfounded as it appears the help desk is merely moving to Hobart. This means some of the customer service representatives will be made redundant.

Our Platinum members love having the ability to directly call someone experienced, professional and helpful to assist with their enquiries. They feel that the Platinum help desk is a key benefit of being Platinum and are concerned about the move.

Our Qantas representative on AFF assures our members that the change in location of the help desk will not change the standard or quality of service on offer. However our members have had a variety of experiences with the existing Hobart call centre and some are not optimistic about their level of service being on par with the current help desk.

The outcome remains to be seen and in the couple months the verdict will be in about the new arrangements. Watch this space!
