Overview of Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Redemptions

KrisFlyer miles can be redeemed for travel on Singapore Airlines, any Star Alliance member and various other partner airlines.

• Virgin Australia

KrisFlyer award charts

Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer uses zone-based award charts. You can view the Singapore Airlines, Star Alliance and partner airline award charts on the Singapore Airlines website.

Journeys on Singapore Airlines (only) utilise the Singapore Airlines award chart, while journeys on any Star Alliance airlines (including tickets using both Singapore Airlines and other Star Alliance members) utilise the Star Alliance award chart.

Each non-Star Alliance partner airline has its own separate award chart. It is not possible to combine flights on non-Star Alliance airlines on a single ticket. (For example, you couldn’t book a Mackay-Brisbane flight with Virgin Australia on the same ticket as a Brisbane-Singapore flight with Singapore Airlines – separate tickets would be required.)

Singapore Airlines also offers the KrisFlyer Star Alliance round-the-world award, which is particularly good value in Business class.

How to book flights with KrisFlyer miles

Simple award flight redemptions for travel on Singapore Airlines and most partner airlines can be booked on the Singapore Airlines website.

When searching for redemption flights, only Singapore Airlines flights will be shown by default unless you click on “Show flights for Star Alliance/Other partner airlines”:

If you wish to book a more complex Star Alliance award (e.g. a trip combining travel on Singapore Airlines and another Star Alliance airline, a one-way a trip with 2 or more connections, or you want to add multiple stopovers), you may have to call Singapore Airlines. You’ll also need to call to redeem KrisFlyer miles for travel on any of the following airlines which don’t appear online:

• Air Canada
• Air India
• Alaska Airlines
• Asiana
• Austrian
• Avianca
• Copa Airlines
• Ethiopian Airlines
• Juneyao Airlines
• Virgin Atlantic
