90 Reasons to Fly Qantas – not!

A common theme on our discussion board in recent times is “Qantas-bashing”. Some members see this as a blood sport and engage in it freely and often, whilst others have grown tired of the constant barrage of Qantas-hating. This week our member’s take inspiration from a previous Qantas marketing campaign and set a goal to list 90 reasons not to fly Qantas.

The “burn list” is long and littered with many reasons that some members are disillusioned with the Qantas brand. One common complaint is the ongoing difficulty our members have experienced in redeeming Qantas frequent flyer points. The charging of high taxes and fees on redemptions is also much bemoaned.

Some members feel the level of customer service has decreased. They believe Qantas continues to charge premium prices for a service that no longer meets a premium standard. The inconsistency of the service is also unsettling- one flight can run smoothly with exemplary customer service whilst others experiences are at the opposite end of the spectrum.

The off-ground experience has also taken a battering. Our member’s complain that the call centre experience is slow and frustrating. There has also been experience of reluctance by staff to address issues at point of check-in.

Add to the list of reasons that may be set to reach 100 HERE.
