It’s common knowledge on AFF that buying wine from Qantas Wine can be a quick, easy and great value way to top up your Qantas points. But a current Qantas Wine deal is one of the best we’ve ever seen!
Qantas Wine is offering 15,000 bonus Qantas points on cases of 12 bottles of Heirloom Vineyards Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir 2016 or Heirloom Vineyards McLaren Vale Shiraz 2016. These cases cost $360, and as the price is over $300, comes with free delivery within Australia.
There were also previously two cases available for $357 which came with 15,000 bonus points, however these have now sold out.
In addition to the bonus points, you’ll earn 1 Qantas point per dollar spent at Qantas Wine. Premium Qantas Wine members earn at a higher rate of 3 Qantas points per dollar and receive free delivery on all purchases, regardless of the amount.
With this case, you’d spend $360 and receive at least 15,360 Qantas points. That’s an earn rate of 42.67 points per dollar, or an acquisition cost of 2.34 cents per Qantas point. By comparison, it would cost $506 to buy 15,000 top-up points from Qantas Frequent Flyer – and that doesn’t come with a dozen bottles of wine!
The Heirloom Vineyards McLaren Vale Shiraz 2016 is a popular red wine with a rating of 4/5 on Vivino.
15,360 Qantas points is almost enough to book a round-trip Economy or a one-way Business class ticket on Qantas between Sydney and Melbourne or Brisbane (excluding taxes and carrier charges). That would cost 16,000 Qantas points.
Qantas Frequent Flyer points earned from Qantas Wine purchases have, until recently, consistently posted within 24 hours of making the purchase. However, some AFF members have recently reported delays in receiving their points. Qantas advises that the points may take up to 6 weeks to reach your account.
Qantas Wine always seems to have various bonus point offers available. But this particular Qantas Wine deal runs until 30 April 2019 or the wine is sold out.
