Avios is the common currency of Qatar Airways Privilege Club and various other loyalty programs.
Although you can transfer Avios between different loyalty programs that use this as their currency, redemptions through Qatar Airways Privilege Club may have different pricing and conditions.

You can also use Qatar Airways Privilege Club Avios to book flights on any of Qatar Airways’ other partner airlines:

- LATAM Airlines
- Middle East Airlines (MEA)
- Oman Air
- RwandAir
- Virgin Australia (online award bookings not available)
Qatar Airways uses distance-based award charts. For award flights on Qatar Airways, you can use the calculator to determine the number of Avios required. For partner airline awards, see the award chart on the Qatar Airways website.
In addition to taxes & carrier charges, Qatar Airways also charges a per-sector booking fee of USD25-75 for award tickets. Infant award tickets are only available on Qatar Airways operated flights in Economy class. Award tickets are not available in First Class on Qatar Airways A380 services between Doha and London.
You can book award travel on Qatar Airways, British Airways or American Airlines on the Qatar Airways website.
For travel on other partner airlines (except Virgin Australia), you can fill out a partner award request form. Call Qatar Airways to redeem Avios on Virgin Australia.
In general, this program offers similar value to British Airways Executive Club but you may find it easier to book award tickets online through British Airways – especially for redemptions on airlines other than Qatar Airways.
If you would like to fly on Qatar Airways, it could make sense to book through Qatar Airways Privilege Club where you’ll get better access to award seats than members of some other frequent flyer programs (including Qantas Frequent Flyer). Qatar Airways Privilege Club members also get access to “Flexi Awards” on Qatar Airways flights, which cost twice as many Avios but are available on more flights.
