It’s possible to transfer CommBank Awards points earned in Australia to the AirAsia BIG Loyalty program.
If you’re flying with AirAsia, it can certainly make sense to collect BIG points. But, in general, it doesn’t really make sense for Australians to transfer valuable credit card reward points to this frequent flyer program. Instead, our advice is to save your points for a redemption on another airline via another frequent flyer program, where you may get better value.
You can redeem BIG points for AirAsia flights. The number of points required will depend on the length of the flight, in terms of hours. See the AirAsia website for more information.
As AirAsia is a low-cost carrier, most flights are relatively cheap to begin with. It’s therefore rare to get more than 1 cent per point in value from AirAsia BIG points.
