Philippine Airlines Now Bookable With Qantas Points

Looking at a PAL domestic redemption, did any one make a similar booking before? If so - what would "?" against included bags mean?
At $1600 I'd hope it's a RTW ticket.

I just booked a PAL flight via Qantas points 4 days ago and still not ticketed. PAL website says I have until 10th August to pay as Qantas hasn't taken my funds yet.
I didn't have that question mark next to luggage and have seen I have 30kg.
Is international flight though.

1600PHP, so about $37...

EDIT - FWIW, it said 20KG checked baggage at checkout when I did a dummy booking.

I had to email rewards escalation to get mine ticketed. Took 36 hours after email sent

So I emailed the escalation team, got below reply just within 36hours. I assume if I didn't email the escalation team I would never of known about this originating in Viet deal & just lost my reward seats. I'll never understand how & why Qantas or any business wouldn't inform their customers of these important details.
Also signing up Philippine Airlines as a partner, Oneworld at that & be unable to process payment, c'mon, anyway I'll following payment this way, bit of inconvenience.

Dear Mr. Moo

Thank you for your booking with Qantas. Please kindly be informed that bookings made on qantas.com for flights departing from Vietnam are unable to process payment online. As such, you will be required to complete the payment before ticket time limit expired.

Booking confirmation details are as bellow:

(...my flight details....)

Classic award fare, the ticket tax is USD188.00 per adult, USD177.00 per child, total booking cost USD730.00 equivalent VND19,491,000 (today rate of exchange)

We are unable to verify credit card via email, for alternative you can choose one of the following payment methods:

  1. Payment by credit card via Payment gateway: Payment can be made thru a payment gateway offered by a service provider authorized by Amex/Visa/Mastercard company. A payment link will be sent to the credit card holder to key in the credit card information for settlement.

Or alternative:

  1. Making a bank transfer of VND19,491,000 (excluding bank fee) to HTT bank account.

Please kindly inform us your preferred payment method, we will follow up in sending you the appropriate payment link or our bank account details.

Makes sense the points are higher, as they are a partner award.

A bit odd that the PR fuel fines are more than QF's. Might be a sign of the current times, but still odd. Overall, looking at the same BNE-MNL sector I randomly searched, if I had a choice between PR Y or QF Y, notwithstanding my status I'd probably take QF Y for the lower cost overall. PR's product wouldn't be vastly superior compared to QF.
...
I have been doing some award booking research for June and while PR comes up a lot, the fuel fines, even in economy, basically precludes them from consideration when there are options on other carriers.

Very much thankyou for enlightening me on this, i tried again & yes I see the info you shared. I just click thru these screens assuming there're just your booking in a foreign country qantas website blah blah, but useful information it certainly was.
The lady on email did apologies for being late, obviously referring to the 5 day timeframe. I said no sweat.
I have the payment gateway now, transfer funds to wise card to make payment now.

I even was little suspect of her email being HTT travel, not qantas, but all good now.

Thanks @williamsf1 for your notice.

In the past two months I've done BNE-MNL twice, once with QF and once with PR. My preferences as a QFF is for PR because the cost for bid for upgrade was so much lower than competing with all the big points on QF.

Arriving at Terminal 3 (QF) is a nicer terminal. The wait for Grab in the multi-story carpark is a complete mess.

Arriving at Terminal 1 (PR) is much older but still functional. The Grab pickup is just outside on the arrivals level. Departures from here with the Australia rule about additional screen puts us into a holding pen situation. I deliberately didn't enter the final area until board was imminent.

I really hope this is a glitch but all PR business awards seem to have been pulled overnight. Economy still available

I'd be really hard pressed to book a QF reward on PR. Poor value IME, unless you're desperate to get to the Philippines and there are no better options.

I've flown PR a few times to MNL in J and really, there are better options (for example not going to MNL).

Well until recently at least they had things to Asia unlike QF Classic Rewards in J
