Complimentary LoungePair+ for AFF Platinum Members
We’ve recently expanded the benefits available to AFF Platinum members, which now include a year of complimentary LoungePair+ membership. Among other perks, this comes with a free airport lounge pass to use at any of the 1,400+ lounges in the LoungePair network!
AFF Platinum benefits
AFF offers four membership levels. The Basic level is completely free, and comes with full participation on our community forum. In addition, all AFF members can access our beginner Training Courses and $20 off paid LoungePair+ memberships.
There are also three paid AFF membership levels that come with additional benefits: Silver, Gold and Platinum. You can read more about AFF membership levels and benefits here.
Platinum is the highest AFF membership level and comes with lots of extra benefits. These include:
- Full access to AFF’s webinars and all Frequent Flyer Training courses
- All AFF Gold benefits, including the 20% Qantas Club discount
- 15% off Frequent Flyer Concierge services
- 25% off seat.aero annual Pro plans (new)
We’ve also recently partnered with LoungePair to give AFF Platinum members a year of complimentary LoungePair+ membership! This is the premium subscription offered by LoungePair, a website that sells easy access to over 1,400 airport lounges.
What LoungePair+ gets you
LoungePair+ is an annual subscription program that gets you the following extra perks with LoungePair:
- A free airport lounge pass to use each year
- Get maximum flexibility on all lounge passes you buy, including the option for a refund, without paying extra
- Get 50% off a second lounge pass, up to twice per year, when purchased with a full-price pass (perfect if you want to bring a friend into the lounge with you)
- Collect stamps for each lounge visit as credit towards future passes
- Priority customer support and a lounge satisfaction guarantee
The best lounges to use your complimentary pass
The best benefit of LoungePair+ is arguably the free airport lounge pass. You can use this at any airport lounge that LoungePass sells access to directly.
At the time of writing, this includes any of the following airport lounges in Australia:

Overseas, some great lounges where you could use your free visit include:
- Plaza Premium First Lounges, e.g. in Hong Kong (HKG), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Jakarta (CGK) or Macau (MFM)
- The Vienna Lounge in Vienna (VIE)
- The View Lounge in Brussels (BRU)
- The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in San Francisco (SFO)
- The Strata Lounge in Auckland (AKL)
- The Manaia Lounges in Christchurch (CHC) or Queenstown (ZQN)
It would ordinarily cost AU$133 to buy individual access to the luxurious Plaza Premium First Lounge in Hong Kong through LoungePair, or around AU$194 to buy a pass directly from Plaza Premium, and you cannot access Plaza Premium First lounges through Priority Pass. So, this would be an example of a great place to redeem the complimentary lounge visit you get with LoungePair+!

How AFF Platinum members can claim complimentary LoungePair+
If you’re an AFF Platinum member, head over to the Membership Benefits page on the AFF forum and make sure you’re logged into your account. From there, you can click through to the AFF Member Lounge and scroll down to find the button to claim your LoungePair+ membership:
You’ll then be taken to a special page on the LoungePair website, where you can sign up for a LoungePair+ membership. If you sign up as an AFF Platinum member, you’ll get the first year of LoungePair+ for free.
If you choose to continue your LoungePair+ membership beyond the first year, subsequent years will be charged at the discounted AFF member price of $129/year. However, you can cancel your LoungePair+ subscription at any time.
