Earn flexible ANZ Reward Points and enjoy a low annual fee with the ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card.

Why we like the ANZ Rewards Platinum Card

If you’re looking for a credit card in Australia that earns flexible rewards points for a low annual fee, look no further than the ANZ Rewards Platinum card! The card earns ANZ Reward Points that can be transferred to four frequent flyer programs: Virgin Australia Velocity, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, Cathay and Air New Zealand Airpoints.

The ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card includes complimentary insurances, and is compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay for your convenience.

Sign-up bonus

Apply for an ANZ Rewards Platinum card and earn up to 100,000 bonus Velocity Points! The bonus is split int two parts. You’ll receive the first 70,000 Velocity Points spend when you spend at least $2,000 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months. Then, if you keep your card for more than 15 months, you’ll receive an additional 30,000 bonus Velocity Points.

This card earns ANZ Reward Points. To receive the bonus points, you must switch on and keep on auto-redemption to transfer your ANZ Reward Points to Velocity Points.

As an example of how you could spend your points, 70,000 Velocity Points (plus taxes & carrier charges) is enough to fly one-way between Melbourne and Singapore in Singapore Airlines Business Class.

That’s also enough points for a return Economy trip on the same route on Singapore Airlines! Alternatively, you could book up to eight return domestic Economy trips on Virgin Australia for under 100,000 Velocity Points – perfect for a family getaway (or two!)

This sign-up offer may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

The offer is not available to existing ANZ Rewards cardholders, or if you have been the primary cardholder of an ANZ Rewards Black, ANZ Rewards Platinum, or an ANZ Rewards credit card in the past 12 months.

Earning ANZ Reward Points

With an ANZ Rewards Platinum card, you’ll earn 1.5 ANZ Reward Points per $1 spent on eligible transactions (excluding government payments) up to the first $2,000 per month. That’s effectively 0.75 Velocity points or 0.5 KrisFlyer miles per dollar spent.

After spending $2,000 in a given monthly statement period, you’ll earn 0.5 ANZ Reward Points per dollar on any remaining spend.

There is no cap on the total amount of points you can earn with the ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card.

ANZ Reward Points are valid for 3 years, but unused points do expire at the end of the third year after they are earned. You can use your points or transfer them to a frequent flyer program before this time to avoid losing them.

If you like, you can turn on auto-redemption to transfer your ANZ Reward Points to Velocity Points automatically. The conversion rate is 2 ANZ Reward Points to 1 Velocity Point.

Earning points for ATO & government payments

The ANZ Rewards Platinum card does not award any points on payments made directly to the ATO or other government bodies in Australia.

However, you can use a payment service such as pay.com.au to pay tax and other bills with this card, and still earn points at the full rate!
