Most Australian banks offer co-branded Qantas Frequent Flyer personal credit cards that let you earn Qantas points on your everyday purchases.

As an alternative to a personal card, some banks also provide business credit cards linked to Qantas Business Rewards. These cards award points for business expenses into your Qantas Business Rewards account.

Why get a business credit card?

If you run a business, there are several reasons you might consider getting a business credit card.

For example, you may be able to issue employee cards. In addition, they can help with your business’s cash flow and accounting. And some come with complimentary travel insurance that also covers your employees when they travel for business.

Many Aussie business cards also award points when you make payments to the ATO, without needing to use a third-party bill payment service.

About Qantas Business Rewards

Most Qantas points-earning business credit cards in Australia are affiliated with Qantas Business Rewards.

For every dollar you spend on eligible purchases on your business card, you’ll earn points in your Qantas Business Rewards account. This is Qantas’ loyalty program for small-to-medium enterprises in Australia.

To join Qantas Business Rewards, you’ll need to have an active ABN. There’s an $89.50 joining fee, but you can easily avoid paying this by using a “free join” link.

Qantas Business Rewards and Qantas Frequent Flyer share the same points currency. You can transfer Qantas Points from Qantas Business Rewards to anyone – including yourself, a family member or anyone else – at a 1:1 rate. You just need to convert at least 3,000 points at a time.

With this card, you can earn 1.25 Qantas Points per $1 on the first $400,000 of everyday expenses charged to the card each calendar year. Thereafter, you’ll earn 0.75 Qantas Points per $1 for the rest of the year.
