Malaysia Airlines currently has some super airfare deals on Business class from Malaysia to Australia. Business class flights to Australia are selling for as little as $722 return!
The Malaysia Airlines Business sale covers flights from Kuala Lumpur to Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide. You’d need to commence travel between 16 June 2018 and 31 March 2019, and there’s a maximum stay in Australia of 3 months.
The following Malaysia Airlines Business class sale fares are available departing Kuala Lumpur:
- Perth from $722 return
- Brisbane from $1,308 return
- Sydney from $1,414 return
- Adelaide from $1,513 return
The Kuala Lumpur-Perth route is currently served by Boeing 737s with recliner seats in Business class. But wide-body A330s with lie-flat Business class seats fly to all other Australian destinations.
Open-jaws are permitted so, for example, you could fly from Malaysia to Perth and then depart Australia from Adelaide for the trip back to Malaysia.
These flights book into “Z” fare class. If you’re looking to earn Qantas points & status credits, these flights will earn at “flexible economy” rates. That means you’ll earn 100 status credits for a round-trip booking from Kuala Lumpur to Perth or Adelaide. But you’ll only earn 60 Qantas status credits flying return from KL to Sydney or Brisbane.
You can begin and end your trip in a Malaysian city other than Kuala Lumpur. Starting and ending the trip in Langkawi, for example, will add around $240 to the round-trip fare. But you’ll also earn an extra 80 Qantas status credits for the two internal flights between Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur. A Business sale fare from Langkawi to Perth (via Kuala Lumpur) would cost you $955 return and net 180 Qantas status credits, making it a neat Qantas status run if you’re looking at flying from Malaysia to Australia anyway.
These fares are not available in the opposite direction, i.e. originating in Australia. You can book on the Malaysian version of the Malaysia Airlines website.
The Malaysia Airlines Business sale ends on Thursday, 14 June 2018. Cheap Economy class sale fares are also available from Kuala Lumpur to Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide.
