Cashrewards is currently giving 10% cash back on hotel bookings made with Booking.com. Plus, for a limited time and as an exclusive offer for Australian Frequent Flyer members, new Cashrewards members can now earn $20 cash back when joining for free!

How to get a $20 bonus when joining Cashrewards

When you join Cashrewards via Australian Frequent Flyer, you’ll be eligible to receive a $20 credit to your account!

To qualify, you would need to make your first purchase through Cashrewards within 30 days of opening your account. The purchase would need to be something other than a gift card, and the transaction must be worth at least $20.

Once the qualifying purchase is approved by the retailer, your Cashrewards account will be credited with $20 (plus any cashback you earned for the transaction). You just need to have at least $10.01 in your account to withdraw your balance, which you can transfer to either your bank account or PayPal account.

This offer is only available to new Cashrewards members and if you return or cancel your qualifying order, the $20 bonus will be removed.

Why join Cashrewards?

The Cashrewards business model is relatively straightforward. Many online retailers pay a commission to affiliates that promote their online stores. When you make a purchase through Cashrewards, the online retailer pays a percentage of the sale value to Cashrewards, which then passes on a portion of this back to you. The online retailers use cookies to track your purchases, so to earn cashback you’ll need to ensure cookies are enabled.

This is also how the Qantas Shopping Online Mall or Velocity e-Store works, except that they pass on part of their commission to their loyalty program members in the form of frequent flyer points.

With Cashrewards, you can save money or earn cashback with over 1,500 Australian retailers including Dan Murphy’s, Amazon, Ebay, Bing Lee, Vodafone, Viator, Virgin Australia and Virgin Wines.

Earn up to 10% cashback on hotel bookings

You can earn cash back when booking hotels and accommodation through Cashrewards, too. You’ll get 3% cashback at Hotels.com (which also has its own “stay 10 nights, get 1 free” deal), up to 7% cashback for Expedia, up to 7% cashback with Hotels Combined and 8% cashback with Lastminute.com.au when booking hotel stays within the next seven days.

Normally, you could also earn 4% cashback for any Booking.com purchases. But as a limited time promotion, you can now get 10% cashback on Booking.com hotel bookings! This promotion is available until 9.59am (AEST) on 6 May 2021.
