Bangkok to London under $2,000 return in Business

Looking for cheap Business class flights to Europe? If you don’t mind making your own way to Bangkok, there are some exceptional Gulf Air Business class fares from Bangkok to London for under $2,000 return.

The cheap Gulf Air Business fares are available for travel any time until the end of the year, except from 13-20 June or 20 August-4 September. You can return any time up to 31 January next year, although there is a maximum stay in London of 2 months.

There is a short layover in Bahrain in both directions, though no longer stopovers are permitted with these sale fares. You’ll fly from Bangkok to Bahrain on an Airbus A330-200, then onwards to London on a brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Gulf Air Business class, known as “Falcon Gold” class, features lie-flat seating with an in-built massage function in a 2-2-2 configuration.

From Bangkok to London you’ll pay just THB47,935 return for Gulf Air Business class. At today’s exchange rate, that’s equal to AUD$1,984. These fares are available on many dates within the sale period – even around Christmas holidays!

Gulf Air may be a somewhat obscure airline but you can still earn frequent flyer points! Gulf Air Business class credits to Cathay Pacific Asia Miles. Or, of course you could earn miles with Gulf Air’s own Falconflyer program.

If you’re planning a trip from Australia to Europe, you’ll need to book separate flights to Bangkok and back. Economy fares to Bangkok are often available under $700 return in Economy. Alternatively, consider redeeming points to fly Business class to Bangkok. Qantas or Emirates can get you from Sydney to Bangkok in Business for 120,000 Qantas points return (plus around $635 in taxes and carrier charges). Or, redeem 132,000 Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles + $179 to fly Thai Airways Business class to/from Bangkok.

If you have time, leave a few days between flights for a stopover in Bangkok! There’s plenty to see and do in the Thai capital.
