Double Velocity Status Credits to New Zealand

Double Velocity Status Credits to New ZealandVirgin Australia is offering double Velocity status credits on all flights between Australia and New Zealand!

To earn double Velocity status credits to New Zealand, you’ll need to book an eligible Virgin Australia flight by 14 December 2018. Travel must be completed between 26 November 2018 and 9 October 2019. Note that only trans-Tasman flights operated and marketed by Virgin Australia are eligible.

Before booking, make sure that you register for this promotion on the Virgin Australia website and include your Velocity Frequent Flyer number when booking.

According to the offer terms and conditions, it may take up to 4 weeks for the double status credits to appear on your Velocity account after taking the flight.

Status credits count towards your membership tier – Red, Silver, Gold or Platinum – with the airline. So, double Velocity status credits to New Zealand means you’ll earn Virgin Australia status faster when flying across the ditch.

After terminating its alliance with Air New Zealand last month, Virgin Australia has recently made a range of improvements to its trans-Tasman service. All Virgin Economy fares across the Tasman now include checked baggage, a meal and a drink. Virgin also recently launched new trans-Tasman routes including Sydney-Wellington, and there have been a range of changes to international lounge access for Velocity members.

Virgin’s fares to New Zealand are also particularly competitive at the moment. So if you’ve been thinking about a trip to New Zealand, now is a great time to book!

It’s been a while since Virgin Australia had a public double status credit promotion. There have been several targeted promotions this year, but these were not available to the general public. By comparison, Qantas has had three “double status credit” offers so far this year. The most recent was just last month.
