Don’t Forget to Enter Qantas & Virgin’s Vaccination Competitions

If you’re an Australian aged 18 or over and you’ve received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, make sure you claim your Qantas vaccination reward and enter the Qantas & Velocity Frequent Flyer competitions by the end of this month!

Both Qantas and Virgin Australia are giving away prizes to Australians who’ve been vaccinated against COVID-19. With the Qantas vaccination reward, for example, you can choose from one of four prizes by uploading a copy of your digital vaccination certificate in the Qantas App:

• 1,000 Qantas points
• 15 Qantas status credits
• $20 Qantas flight discount
• $20 Jetstar flight voucher

By claiming your vaccination reward from Qantas, you’ll also be entered into a draw to win one of 8 epic major prizes. One lucky entrant from every Australian state & territory will win:

• $50,000 worth of Qantas Major Prize Flight Passes for use on Qantas flights (enough for 12 return domestic trips in Business Class and one return international trip in Economy Class),
• 1 million Accor ALL points (worth around $31,800), and
• A $3,650 BP gift card

Meanwhile, Virgin Australia is offering a total of 251 prizes to vaccinated Australians who enter its competition. You can enter the competition on the Virgin Australia website.

Both the Qantas and Virgin Australia competitions close on 31 December 2021. So if you haven’t got around to entering yet, there are only a couple of weeks left!

AFF member wins Marriott Bonvoy vaccination competition

Numerous other companies have also been offering prizes and running competitions as an incentive for Australians to get vaccinated against COVID-19. One such company was Marriott Hotels, whose competition closed at the end of November. Marriott was offering five Australians a free night at every Marriott hotel in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and New Caledonia which can be claimed by May 2023.

One of the five lucky winners was AFF member Lynnelanne, who posted on the Australian Frequent Flyer forum:

Hi all. You may be amazed to know, because I certainly was, that one of your fellow Australian frequent flyer members, (me!), actually won this competition. I was just advised by Marriott last night. I’ll report back and let you all know how it goes. The email I received said it was across Australia and New Zealand Fiji and new Caledonia hotels. Happy me.
