IN BRIEF | Air New Zealand has scheduled its Dreamliner on flights to the Gold Coast for several services over the July school holidays. The airline’s Boeing 787-9s will fly from Auckland to Gold Coast’s Coolangatta Airport each Sunday between 7 and 21 July 2019.

This is the first time that Air New Zealand has offered Premium Economy or Business class to the Gold Coast. The Dreamliner features a 3-class configuration with 263 Economy, 21 Premium Economy and 18 Business seats. Air New Zealand normally flies Airbus A320s on this route with Economy-only seating.

NZ247 will depart Auckland at 11.30am on Sunday morning, arriving in Gold Coast at 1.15pm. The return flight NZ248 leaves Gold Coast at 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon, landing in Auckland three hours later at 7.30pm. The flights will run on 7, 14 and 21 July.

The extra capacity with Air New Zealand’s 787 has been put on to accommodate the extra passengers flying across the Tasman over school holidays.

If you’re interested in redeeming your points for a seat on one of these flights, Air New Zealand has released 1 Business class award seat per flight to partner Star Alliance frequent flyer programs.
