Fly Virgin Australia & Earn Up to 20,000 Velocity Points
Virgin Australia A330 Economy Class

Virgin Australia is offering up to 20,000 bonus Velocity points when booking a long-haul flight from Australia to London, Los Angeles, Tokyo or Hong Kong by 9 February 2020.

To take part in Virgin Australia’s “Bonus Bonanza” promotion, you would need to activate the offer specific to your chosen destination on the Virgin Australia website. The promotion covers travel dates between 20 January and 15 December 2020.

The amount of bonus points on offer, which are earned in addition to the regular Velocity points and status credits, depends on your class of travel:

  • Return Business class bookings receive 20,000 bonus Velocity points
  • Return Premium Economy bookings receive 12,000 bonus Velocity points
  • Return Economy Freedom bookings receive 10,000 bonus Velocity points
  • Return Economy Elevate & Getaway bookings receive 5,000 bonus Velocity points

You’ll receive half the amount of points for one-way bookings. As always, reward seat bookings are not eligible to earn points. The bonus points will be credited up to 4 weeks after taking the flight.

According to the offer terms & conditions, tickets booked in Virgin Australia’s new Economy Light fare category will earn bonus points as per Elevate, Getaway and group bookings.

Only flights operated by Virgin Australia are eligible for the Bonus Bonanza promotion, except for trips to London where Virgin Atlantic-operated flights are also eligible. Flights to London can be via Hong Kong or Los Angeles, and you’ll fly on a Virgin Atlantic aircraft for the flights between Hong Kong or Los Angeles and London.

Virgin’s new daily flights from Brisbane to Tokyo will commence on 29 March 2020.

When booking flights on the Virgin Australia website, don’t forget that you can save money by using a Virgin promo code.

Virgin Australia is one of the few airlines that still offers free seat selection to all customers on long-haul flights, excluding Economy X seats which have extra legroom.

Meanwhile, Qantas is currently running a Global Sale on flights to most international Qantas destinations until 3 February 2020.
