The American holiday of Thanksgiving took place earlier this week, meaning it’s that time of year again when just about everyone is offering a Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday sale.

In Australia, many airlines, hotels and other travel-related businesses are offering great discounts and bonus points until Monday, 28 November 2022 (a.k.a. Cyber Monday). In this article, we’ve put together a selection of some of the best travel deals available in Australia for Black Friday in 2022…

Jetstar Black Friday Fare Frenzy

Jetstar normally runs a Friday Fare Frenzy sale every Friday afternoon from 4-8pm (AEDT). This week, for Black Friday, Jetstar has extended its sale until 11.59pm on Monday 28 November.

Sale fares include Sydney-Ballina from $39, Newcastle-Gold Coast from $49, Canberra-Gold Coast from $59, Brisbane-Mackay from $69, Sydney-Hervey Bay from $79 and Melbourne-Queenstown from $209 one-way. See the Jetstar website for a full list of sale fares.

Virgin Australia “Black Friday, bright holidays” sale

Virgin Australia is also running a Black Friday sale, with cheaper airfares available to book until 11.59pm on Monday night.

See the Virgin Australia website for a full list of sale fares which include Melbourne-Launceston from $69, Adelaide-Hobart from $85, Brisbane-Cairns from $89, Townsville-Melbourne from $109 and Darwin-Adelaide from $139 one-way.

Qatar Airways Black Friday offers

Save 12% off Qatar Airways flights from Australia when booking by 29 November 2022, using the promo code BFRIDAYAU on the Qatar Airways website or app.

Singapore Airlines Cyber Sale

Singapore Airlines has launched Cyber Sale fares from Australia to destinations across Asia. See the Singapore Airlines website for a full list.

Qantas & Velocity online mall deals

Many retailers participating in the Qantas Shopping Rewards Store are offering discounts and/or bonus points for Cyber Monday. There are also lots of bonus points offers at the Velocity eStore.

Up to 40% off Priority Pass membership

Until 30 November 2022, get 40% off Priority Pass Standard membership (which does not come with any included lounge visits) or 25% off Standard Plus membership (with 10 annual complimentary lounge visits). Read our Priority Pass guide for more about this program.

Up to 170% bonus LifeMiles

Avianca’s LifeMiles program is giving up to 160% bonus LifeMiles when you buy on their website until 2 December. Plus, get an extra 10% bonus by using the One Mile At A Time link.

Up to 50% off AAdvantage miles

American Airlines has rarely given more than a 35% discount off its AAdvantage miles this year. But from 25-28 November, you can get 50% off purchases of 150,000 miles (or 25-35% off when buying 5,000 miles or more).

Up to 105% bonus on Aeroplan points

Buy Air Canada Aeroplan points by 29 November 2022 and get up to 105% bonus points.

25% bonus on World of Hyatt points

Get a 25% bonus when you buy at least 5,000 World of Hyatt points by 28 November. Note that there is a maximum annual points purchase limit of 55,000 points.
