Would you like to sample Qantas 787 Business class? Qantas’ newest aircraft is currently flying between Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, and reward seats are available on many flights.
The Opportunity
Qantas’ brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner has landed in Australia, and is now operating a series of crew familiarisation flights around Australia. Between now and 14 December 2017, you can sample Qantas 787 Business, Premium Economy and Economy class on the Sydney-Melbourne and Perth-Melbourne routes. The aircraft will also make appearances in Adelaide and Canberra.
Many of these Dreamliner flights currently have reward seats available. A Business class reward costs just 16,000 Qantas points on routes like Melbourne-Sydney, or 36,000 Qantas points between Perth and Melbourne. Economy rewards cost half the number of points.
Premium Economy seats are being sold as Economy seats on these initial domestic flights, and are available for selection by Gold, Platinum and Platinum One frequent flyers. If there are any left, Bronze and Silver members may also have the opportunity to pick a Premium Economy seat up to 3 days before the flight.

The Dreamliner is scheduled to operate the following flights between Monday and Friday on most dates until 14 December:
- QF775 Melbourne 07:10 – Perth 08:20
- QF772 Perth 09:55 – Melbourne 16:30
- QF460 Melbourne 18:30 – Sydney 19:55
- QF497 Sydney 22:00 – Melbourne 23:35
The Dreamliner is also popping up on various other domestic routes, including Melbourne-Adelaide and Adelaide-Perth on 18 November – though these flights have no reward seats available. There are currently reward seats available, though, on QF814 from Melbourne to Canberra on 30 November, which will be operated by the Dreamliner.
