Looking for a good Business class deal to Europe with Qatar Airways? Instead of paying a premium to book a ticket from Australia to Europe, you could take advantage of the current Qatar companion sale for bookings out of Singapore.
Qatar Airways is currently offering cheaper Business Class fares for couples on flights departing from Singapore. A range of European and North American destinations are included in the current sale, but the best deals are to Frankfurt and New York.
In the current Qatar companion sale, you can book return Business class tickets from Singapore to Frankfurt for SGD2,879 per passenger, or around $3,000 at current exchange rates. Business fights from Singapore to New York are selling for SGD3,989 each. The sale fares apply to bookings with two or more passengers. Bookings can be made on the Qatar Airways website.
This sale ends on 14 July 2019 and covers travel until 12 December 2019. Blackout dates apply from 20 August-3 September and 17-22 September. These fares have a minimum stay at the destination of 7 days and a maximum stay of one month. A free stopover in Doha is also permitted for up to 96 hours on either the outbound or the return journey.
Qatar Airways’ flights to Singapore feature Qsuites in Business class. This is an excellent product and was recently awarded the world’s best Business class in the 2019 Skytrax awards. On the Doha-Frankfurt leg, Qatar Airways uses a mixture of Boeing 777s with older-style Business seats and Airbus A380s.
The Qatar companion sale fares book into “R” class, which is eligible to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points and status credits.
If you live in Australia, you’ll obviously need to make your own arrangements between Australia and Singapore. You could purchase a separate round-trip ticket from Australia to Singapore or perhaps redeem frequent flyer points. Vietnam Airlines sale fares from Singapore to Europe
Vietnam Airlines also currently has some very good sale fares from Singapore to Frankfurt, with return Business flights available from $2,595. Vietnam Airlines is a member of the SkyTeam alliance.
This is even cheaper than the Qatar Airways deal. And unlike with the Qatar companion sale, there’s no need to book flights for multiple passengers to get this price. With these fares, stopovers in Vietnam are permitted for an extra USD10 each.
