If you’re thinking about booking a last-minute flight between Sydney and Melbourne, you can now get 30% off Qantas Classic Flight Reward seats for travel any time during March 2021, as well as from 13 April-22 June 2021.

Qantas Sydney-Melbourne flights are currently available for just 5,600 Qantas points + $38.12 in taxes & carrier charges in Economy class. Or, you can book a Business class reward seat for just 12,800 Qantas points + $38.12. That’s 30% less than the usual amount of Qantas points required.

This promotion is available for bookings until 7 March 2021. Full terms & conditions are available on the Qantas website.

The discounted prices appear when searching for Classic Flight Reward seats on the Qantas website.

Qantas Melbourne-Sydney Classic Reward flights in March 2021 are priced at 30% less than usual.

While this offer is only available on the Sydney-Melbourne route (in either direction), the Qantas website is also giving 30% off the points required for some other Classic Flight Reward itineraries that include a Sydney-Melbourne flight. For example, you could get a 30% discount off the Qantas points required for a Brisbane-Sydney-Melbourne or Melbourne-Sydney-Cairns booking.

Here’s an example for the Melbourne-Brisbane route, where direct reward flights normally cost 12,000 Qantas points in Economy or 27,600 Qantas points in Business:

Qantas Classic Rewards from Melbourne to Brisbane via Sydney are currently 30% cheaper than direct flights.

In another example, Qantas Classic Flight Reward seats from Melbourne to Cairns are currently available for 12,600 Qantas points in Economy or 29,000 points in Business, plus $78, for travel via Sydney during March 2021. Direct flights from Melbourne to Cairns cost 18,000 Qantas points in Economy or 41,500 points in Business, plus $42.

Qantas Points Club members can earn status credits for Classic Flight Reward bookings.
