Until Monday 30 April, you can save up to 50% off Qantas reward flights to a range of destinations! Classic Flight Rewards to Hobart, as well as Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Osaka are all on sale.
The discount applies to the points required and is only available on Economy award bookings. Taxes, fees and Qantas carrier charges must still be paid in full.
The discount is only available on selected routes and only applies to direct Qantas flights. The 50% off Qantas reward flights is not available if connecting to/from another flight, or for redemptions on partner airlines.
The following routes currently have 50% off Qantas reward flights:
- Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane to Hong Kong
- Sydney to Shanghai
- Sydney to Beijing
- Sydney to Osaka
- Melbourne/Brisbane to Tokyo (Narita)
If you’ve been thinking of visiting Tasmania, there is more good news! There is also currently 25% off Qantas rewards between Sydney or Melbourne and Hobart. Unfortunately, there are no current deals for Australians living outside Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Hobart.
To get the discount, you must book by Monday 30 April. For flights to/from Hobart or Japan, the deal is available for travel between 25 June and 30 November 2018. For flights to/from Hong Kong or China, you can travel any time between 15 May and 30 November 2018.
Here are some examples of how much you’ll pay for a Qantas reward flight during the current sale:
- Melbourne to Hobart: 6,000 Qantas points + $38.12 (one-way)
- Sydney to Hong Kong: 28,000 Qantas points + $326.58 (return)
- Sydney to Osaka: 35,000 Qantas points + $338.58 (return)
If you’re planning a trip to Hong Kong, consider booking your flights as 2x one-way bookings instead of a return ticket. You’ll save around $44 on Qantas carrier charges (for an Economy booking) using this method.
