To begin the day, Matt invites you to take a step back and think about your travel goals. Is your current loyalty program and points strategy helping you to reach your goals, or is there room for improvement?

In this session, Matt will give you a practical framework to help you optimise your points-earning strategy, and explain why flexible points programs can be so valuable.

Brandon gives an overview of how the credit card and points landscape in Australia has changed following the RBA changes in October 2026. Find out the best ways to continue earning lots of points and enjoying travel perks in the changing credit card environment – both with and without credit cards.

Lunch will be provided by the hotel, served with juices and assorted soft drinks.

Option 1: All About Avios – with Alan Lam
Level: Intermediate/Advanced

Avios is the common reward point currency of 7 airline programs, including British Airways Club, Finnair Plus and Qatar Airways Privilege Club. In this session, Alan will show you how to use Avios effectively, as well as the best ways to earn Oneworld status through programs that use Avios.

Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Brandon Loo shows you how to make the most of the Virgin Australia and Singapore Airlines loyalty programs, including earning points, redeeming points and earning status.

Option 1: How to Use Gyoza Flights – with Jason Cooper
Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Jason Cooper is the founder and CEO of Gyoza, a reward flight search tool that can save you lots of time and help you to easily find redemption seats with Qantas & Velocity Points. In this interactive session, Jason shows you how to use all the features offered by Gyoza to easily find reward flights.

Option 2: How to Maximise Oman Air Fares to Europe
Level: Advanced

A member of the Oneworld alliance, Oman Air offers surprisingly attractive Business Class fares from Australia to Europe, via Asia and Muscat. These flexible fares are great for earning Oneworld status credits, and offer great stopover opportunities as you fly between Australia and Europe. Alan Lam explains what you need to know to get the most out of these fares.

When using a flexible points program like PayRewards, Amex Membership Rewards and other credit card reward programs, you have the option to transfer your points to a range of different airline programs. In this session, Silvia demonstrates why it could make sense to transfer your points to programs including Cathay, Air Canada Aeroplan, and Emirates Skywards. This session primarily covers airline programs not previously featured in other sessions throughout the day.

To wrap up the day and help you to consolidate your knowledge, all of the speakers participate in a panel discussion and open Q&A session where you are welcome to ask questions about anything you like.
