Garuda Business Deal: Hong Kong to Australia from $1,344 return

Garuda Indonesia A330-900neoGaruda Airlines has a great ongoing airfare deal on Business Class flights from Hong Kong to Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. The Garuda Business deal is available for travel until the end of the year.

Return Business Class tickets from Hong Kong to Perth are available with Garuda Indonesia from $1,344 return. To Melbourne or Sydney, you’d pay $1,584 or $1,588 respectively. That’s less than half of what Cathay Pacific, Qantas and Virgin Australia charge for return Business class tickets from Hong Kong to Australia.

Garuda Indonesia has a good Business product – especially on its Airbus A330s – with service and food to match. If you choose your flights carefully, you can fly on wide-body Airbus A330s with fully lie-flat Business seats for the whole trip.

The Garuda Business deal is available until the end of this year, for travel until 31 December 2018. There is a maximum stay in Australia of 1 month, and there are blackout dates from 21 to 26 December 2018. Open jaws are allowed, which means you could fly into Melbourne and then pick up the return flight from Sydney or Perth.

You can fly via either Denpasar or Jakarta (or both), in both directions. In some cases, a long layover may be necessary. If this is the case, why not take the opportunity to spend a day in Bali?

You can credit these flights to any SkyTeam frequent flyer program, including Flying Blue, as well as Etihad Guest. If crediting to Flying Blue, you would also earn 96 XP (status points) towards SkyTeam status. You need 100 XP to earn Silver (SkyTeam Elite) status or 180 XP for Gold (SkyTeam Elite Plus) status.

Unfortunately, this fare is only available for travel originating in Hong Kong. It’s not available for travel commencing in Australia. As is often the case with premium cabin airfares, you’ll pay around double the price to book this from Australia.
