First Class Tickets Earned in 3 Months

A grateful new member has already earned enough points for two First class tickets to Europe, with the help of the Australian Frequent Flyer forum! Remarkably, they managed to earn these points in just three months by taking advantage of credit card signup bonuses. And this member believes that anyone can do the same thing.

The Australian credit card market is highly competitive, so banks from time to time offer up to 100,000 bonus frequent flyer points just for signing up for a credit card. These offers are discussed on our Current Credit Card Promotions forum.

Previously, this member had taken five years to earn 100,000 points. But since discovering AFF in September, their points balance has increased radically. In fact, our member has already surpassed their original goal of two Business class tickets. As the points piled up, they soon realised they had earned enough to travel in the ultimate luxury of First class!

Having received a plethora of useful advice from AFF along the way, this member now hopes to help others achieve their own goals. In particular, they have offered a range of advice to other members looking to increase their points balances through credit card sign-ups. One recommendation is to set a credit limit when applying for a new card. This limits the impact on your credit rating. This member also suggests pre-paying bills to meet the minimum spend requirements that come with some sign-up bonuses.

It’s important not to get carried away, as applying for too many credit cards can have a negative impact on your credit rating. Nonetheless, our member is confident that First class travel is within easy reach of anyone. All it takes is a little hard work and assistance from the AFF community along the way.
