On-board product
Oman Air operates its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft from Manila to Muscat. These feature the “Apex Suite”, which is a staggered lie-flat offering in a 2-2-2 layout with direct aisle access. This product is the same as what Japan Airlines uses on some of its widebody aircraft.
Note that Oman Air offers a Business Studio product, which is treated as a separate fare class – it’s effectively a First Class product.

The flights from Muscat to Munich are operated by Oman Air’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. All of its Boeing 737 fleet, including its Boeing 737 MAX 8, uses recliner-style seating.
Earning points & status credits with this airfare
This fare books into “P” class. As Oman Air is a member of Oneworld alliance, you could earn points and status credits for this airfare in programs including:
- Qantas Frequent Flyer
- Qatar Airways Privilege Club, British Airways Club or Finnair Plus Avios.
- Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards
- American Airlines AAdvantage
For example, if you credited these flights to Qantas Frequent Flyer, you could earn at least 18,500 Qantas Points and 320 status credits. If crediting to one of the Avios programs, Finnair Avios seems to be a better option for Oman Air ‘P’ class fares earning at a 150% rate (~21,500 Avios).
Since Oman Air partners with Air Canada Aeroplan, the fare class can also earn 17,904 Air Canada Aeroplan Points.
