Our newest Airfare of the Week belongs to Malaysia Airlines, which has round-trip Business Class from Bali Denpasar (DPS) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) from AU$3,420.

Malaysia Airlines is a member of the Oneworld alliance, so you can earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points & status credits with this airfare. It’s a great fare for flying to Europe in Business Class for less while avoiding the Middle East.

This is a low price for flights departing from Bali, which is extremely accessible to Australians.

Here are the full details of this great Business Class airfare from Bali to Paris…

Sample itinerary & pricing

You can book this fare on the Malaysia Airlines website. Note that the pricing is slightly lower on the actual Malaysia Airlines website.

Of course, you can get even cheaper pricing on some online travel agents, although these come with some risks.

Note that fares and availability are subject to change. This fare may not be available by the time you read this article, and you might need to be flexible with travel dates. We recommend booking ASAP to avoid disappointment!

Travel dates & fare rules

Here are the details of this airfare:

  • Maximum stay at the destination of three months
  • Stopovers permitted in Kuala Lumpur for no cost
  • Travel is not permitted between 29 April 2026 and 4 May 2026
  • Travel must commence before 30 November 2026

On-board product

Between Bali and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Airlines runs a mixture of Boeing 737s and Airbus A330s, including some flights on the brand-new Airbus A330neo.

Most flights are on the Boeing 737, with recliner seats in Business Class.

On the flights between Kuala Lumpur and Paris, you’ll find modern A350s equipped with an older-style, but still comfortable, lie-flat Business Class seat. These are the same seats as those on the older A330s, in an alternating 1-2-2 and 1-2-1 configuration.

On board, make sure to enjoy the fantastic satay service, as well as traditional Malaysian cuisine. You can also access the great Malaysia Airlines Golden lounges in Kuala Lumpur.

Earning points & status credits with this airfare

This fare books into “Z” class. As Malaysia Airlines is a member of Oneworld, you could earn points and status credits for this airfare in programs including:

  • Qantas Frequent Flyer
  • British Airways Club
  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club
  • Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards
  • American Airlines AAdvantage

Unfortunately, Qantas punishes its frequent flyers for flying on some partners, including Malaysia Airlines. In this case, “Z” Class, despite being a Business Class fare, only earns Qantas points and status credits at the “Flexible Economy” rate. This means you’ll earn 180 status credits and 15,200 Qantas Points from this fare.

Other Oneworld programs are less punitive. For example, you could earn 19,272 Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points with this airfare – almost enough for a return trip to New Zealand in Premium Economy on Qantas.
