Our newest Airfare of the Week belongs to Delta Air Lines, which has round-trip Premium Economy fares from Brisbane (BNE) to Los Angeles (LAX) from $2,897.

Delta is a member of the SkyTeam alliance, so you can earn redeemable miles as well as status qualifying miles on other SkyTeam programs with this airfare. If you are eligible for a Delta status match, this airfare could get you most of the way towards retaining Gold Medallion status.

Here are the full details of this great Premium Economy airfare from Brisbane to Los Angeles.

Earning points/miles with this airfare

This fare books into “G” class. As Delta is a member of the SkyTeam alliance, you could earn redeemable miles and status qualifying miles for this airfare in programs including:

  • Delta SkyMiles
  • Air France/KLM Flying Blue
  • Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

As an example, if you credited these flights to Delta SkyMiles, you could earn at least 10,576 RDM and 2,116 MQD. That MQD number gets you 85% of the way towards completing the Delta status match requirements for Gold Medallion status.

If you are not pursuing a status match, Air France/KLM Flying Blue or Virgin Atlantic Flying Club could be a better choice. You could earn at least 14,334 redeemable miles with those programs, plus XP (Flying Blue) or Tier Points (Virgin Atlantic) towards elite status.
