10,000 Qantas points for $16

At AFF we love a good deal, and this one is almost as good as they get! You can currently earn 10,000 Qantas points for the princely sum of $16.

There are a few steps and (minimal) risks involved, but it’s a relatively easy way to earn some quick & easy Qantas points before Christmas!

To receive the 10,000 bonus points, you would need to open an IG share trading account and make at least one trade. You can also earn at least 25 Qantas points for every share trade made with IG. To receive the Qantas points, be sure to register your Qantas Frequent Flyer number with IG after opening your account.

There are just a few catches. The minimum trade amount is $90, and there is an $8 fee each time you buy or sell. This means that it will cost $16 to buy & sell shares. You will also need to deposit at least $450 into your IG account. But you can withdraw this money at any time, and there are no minimum withdrawal amounts or bank transfer fees.

This offer is not available to existing IG account holders.

There is some risk involved in trading shares, so you may end up spending more (or less) than $16, depending on whether your shares lose or gain value between buying and selling them. This risk can be mitigated by buying blue chip shares and selling them immediately.

Many AFF members have already opened IG accounts. They’re reporting that the 10,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points are generally posting within one week.

If you’re not planning to continue using your IG account in the long term, be sure to withdraw your funds and close the account. There is an inactivity fee if you don’t use your account for more than 2 years.
