I'll see you in the Lounge
My first VA/DJ flight will be MEL-NTL in Oct
My first trip will be a status run too! I'm going via Brisbane on a premium booking!!!
You might want to read the rules carefully. You will be awarded the exact same SC's as if you'd flown direct. On VA SC's are awarded Origin to destination (although the "by sector" rule still applies to many partners). You may want to rejig that as a direct fight is you're chasing the SCs!
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
What date were you given? Still deciding whether to seek my match via email or head out to Syd T2 tomorrow pm:shock:
How long would a status match last? Like, if matched today - when would Platinum expire?
Glad I missed out on the last status match!
Why? I got the status match to gold last time and has no problem getting matched to platinum yesterday
Out of interest, if you were compd gold last year, did that have any significant impact on your flying habits?
I would assume not, as the fact that you are still qf platinum and dont have enough dj status to automatically get platinum.
Just an observation.
Damn you iphone and fat fingers. Sent from my iphone and AFF app )
Amazing how all the ones bagging the absolute cough out of Virgin last week, now think its the ducks guts, and are running around flashing all the Platinum cards. Wonder how many will actually fly Virgin, and how many will just use the any time access, and continue to fly QF.
Yes I am a bit annoyed at the influx, and feel the lounges will now be overcrowded and noisy, just like QF club was/is. I also believe that with all these platinums, the any time access will dissapear, as it was always on a "space available" basis, and there wont be much space available now will there?
Regardless, I am but a small fish, and my annoyance is insignificant, I can fully understand why Virgin have done it, and as much as I hate the fact that some of the most snobby, rude aroogant coughs I have ever met have been struuting their stuff with QF Platinum cards, may now be looking down their long upturned noses at me in the lounge, I realise that is what had to happen to mmake Virgin competitive. I hope the real snotty ones stay and we only get the friendly nice people such as those here on AFF
So when is QF going to do a status match, so we can go to a quiet lounge, as it appears all their status pax are now with DJ?
