IHG Hotels that recognise status

Surfers Crowne Plaza upgrade. Complimentary water and separate shower and bath but strangely no soap dispenser by the bath. Took drink but also points were awarded. Don't seem to understand the concept of full charge-back.

Holiday Inn Express Brisbane 11 Nov 2025. Nominal "Upgrade" high floor. Two Tim Tams on bed! Construction site opposite running 24 hrs with heavy vehicle movement. The occasional "clang" of scaffolding poles not welcome throughout the night. Room smaller that other HIX I've stayed at. Breakfast room already well occupied by 6:25 am waiting for opening our!
Left charger in the room and sent photo with various options. Nice thought! If any one wants a small USB phone charger in Brisbane please let me know. No way I can collect in 30 days.

Holiday Inn Potts Point Sydney.
Booked Premier Harbour View. Given Junior Suite. I've stayed enough to be given special business rate but then I believe anyone can negotiate these directly with the hotel. Worked out about 50% of rack rate.. Two nights and managed to get two drink vouchers each night. Large Macadamia nut cookie as welcome gift. Nice change from small jar of branded mints!

Any IHG hotel I've stayed in offers soft or hard pillows.

The bed is firm as last time with a choice of firm or soft pillows on the bed (labelled! - why don’t other hotels do this!).

My local Holiday Inn in suburban Sydney has the firm/soft pillows labelled.

Good to see that this Hotel Indigo has chilli for breakfast; I stayed at the Flinders St one shortly after they opened and they didn't have chilli flakes for my fried egg, only Tabasco ... Haven't been back since (amongst other reasons)
