IHG Hotels that recognise status

Hotel: InterContinental Sydney
When: January 8-9
Status: Diamond Ambassador
Rate: Preferred Partner Rate at 20% off at $320ish/night
Booked: 1 King Classic
Received: 1 King Classic East Harbour View; booked on NYE and was upgraded on NYD
Amenity Offered: Drinks or 600 points. Got a single drink voucher which I used on a glass of chardonnay while waiting for my room to be ready as it needed to be inspected (arrived shortly after check-in time).

Also got given a selection of beers since my IHG profile said I liked good food and drink; not sure why. Maybe I've finally stayed here enough times or I now have an Annual Lounge Pass, or it was just too damn hot that day? (All the ice in the bucket had melted by the time I returned to the room)

Can't use your $25 Ambassador credit on the minibar any more.

Hotel: InterContinental Melbourne
When: January 13-14
Status: Diamond Ambassador (until the points got credited as a Platinum Ambassador two days later)
Rate: Cyber Sale Member Exclusive at $240ish/night plus 12% or 15% cashback via TopCashback
Booked: 1 King Classic
Received: 1 King Junior Suite
Amenity Offered: Drinks or 600 points. Got a single drink voucher which I used on a glass of sparkling wine while using my $25 Ambassador credit on half a dozen oysters from Alluvial.

First time using an Annual Lounge Pass for both hotels. I prefer the Sydney lounge compared to the Melbourne lounge; service, food and ambience (and views of course) is better.
