think of the improved value you get. You pay the same amount to play, but get a much better cost/stroke ratio than someone who goes around is par :D
 
Count me in as an almost certainty. I do not need hire clubs and I am quite happy to pay a deposit as long as it is not via Paypal or foreign currency. Any idea on the number of attendants at this early stage?

I can donate a box of golf balls or something related to golf like a free golf lesson provided by me. ;) A more appropriate prize could be 1 box of pink golf balls or a ball retriever for the bradman of the day. :p :oops:
 
John how did you know.The only golf prize I have won was the Don Bradman trophy at a hospital golf day.Then though I do feel there were others who were not quite as honest.
First round today after 3 months off.Bogey on the 1st,par on the second and then I remembered what I should do.Topped the drive on the 3rd,second shot a hook into the trees followed by a great recovery shot into the rough on the other side of the fairway.Now I feel right.
Anyway I think I have moved to a definite starter as I should be having the week at home before this prestigious tourney.
 
Is it ok if I turn up just to watch? I know nothing about golf...:oops:

Great timing, will be just after I return from Europe. :)

Put me down as 'highly interested' for now.

Classic! Just as well I do not drink tea or coffee. Gave me a good laugh as it reminds me of some of the bad things I go through on golf day. Last Sunday I had 2 over on the front nine including a 3 putt bogey and then collapsed with 8 over on the back nine including another two 3 putts...

Despite a strange desire to turn up and humiliate myself, the logistics just won't work for me (would arrive home too late, given my Monday travel commitments).

I may be in the process of moving house that weekend (the joys of rental accommodation is the Notice to Vacate things you sometimes get). Will know closer to the time.....

You are just looking for excuses. :p You can easily move house the week before and still make the tournament. :rolleyes:
