Been like that since the platform migration in November which was a complete disaster.I see Virgin Money doesn’t currently offer these cards (and not sure they are coming back), looks possible they are in wind down mode so unsurprising if the product isn’t getting much attention!
The VM app will not show points earning nor on your statements.Except by looking at your Velocity points on their App, is there anyway to see how many points you earn via the Virgin Money card? Especially if you earn some via Virgin flights etc. I cannot see them on the monthly statement anymore or find them on the web or the Money App.
Seems like the product is just cruising without offering service anymore. I just hope they pay me the extra points after 12 months. As a retiree, applying for points earning cards becomes much harder.
I agree... hence my question. I guess there is no answer. The VM app will not show points earning nor on your statements.
It’s pretty opaque.
I haven’t been notified of the changes as yet. I assume you were notified by email?I have the Flyer card, and the fee moves from $149 to $169 and the earn rate goes from $1 = 0.66 VFF points to 0.5 VFF points for the first $1500 per month and any over that going from 0.5 to 0.25 VFF points.
It's a raw prawn indeed.
Would card sign up bonuses be affected as well? All frequent flyer credit cards will be heading this way, for obvious reasons that we all know about.
I'll be cancelling my credit card and starting to use my debit card after this; the points earn rate was the only reason I kept it, but at this earn rate, I don't see the point(s) any longer
Far easier ways to earn points, and I'll concentrate on those methods far more now.
In positive news, they are removing international transaction fees from 1st October.
"If an overseas purchase is processed by us on or after 1 October 2026, you will not be charged an International Transaction Fee."
Changes for existing customers, from October 1st, can be found here: Important information about your Virgin Money Credit Card
They appear to be still there for now, as seen on the link below. As to whether these remain in effect from October 1st, that remains to be seen.Would card sign up bonuses be affected as well?
