QF J not bookable online domestically, classic awards viewable in Y

Agree, separating classes is a bad thing.

Although it did cause some nice 'specials' on the VA side.
Many times I have seen last minute flights in peak times in the triangle where the cheapest Y was $399, yet Business Saver still available at $419.
Presents more opportunities for those in the know

This is true however i can not see that if I wait half an hour instead of being on a 737 I will be on a 767, which I much prefer Oh and the cost is cheaper, when trying to book over the phone.

The release of this website is a joke how can such a critical tool and source of revenue be allowed to be stuffed around like this.

BUT looked at MEL-LHR in October and noticed a name change to the fare Types

SALE
SAVER
SEMI FLEX
FLEX

All of them are classed as Discount Economy

The Saver Fare may or may not be upgradeable based on fare type as per below

Flight Upgrade Awards are not eligible on all Red e-Deal fares.Flight Upgrades can only be redeemed on Qantas operated flights.

I'm not seeing J in either Firefox 23.0 or IE 8. I've cleared the cache in Firefox (my normal browser) with no effect so tried IE which I've never logged into Qantas.com with on this computer and got exactly the same thing.

I also notice that the tick box for "Show classic awards" is still there on the search form. A bit pointless now they are displayed by default for domestic flights.

If no upgrades don't say "not eligible on all" its confusing if they're aren't any dam well say so, like "Red e Deal upgrades are not available on this fare".

Maybe they should get rid of their web site altogether. It would save a heap of money. There's always 131313 available, as you say.

I found that with this box ticked only award fares showed.

I actually like the new layout on my tablet, but it sucks on the desktop. Haven't the developers heard of CSS that responds to the browser user agent so that we get decent presentation on desktops, tablets and phones?
