Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Troubling part is as well as us, they may want the country we are visiting to be proven majority or fully vaccinated as well. Good luck visiting Bali by 2030, how long does it take to vaccinate quarter of a billion people?
I THink the Indonesian government was trying for a bubble at one point, so they might create a safe haven with local entry border restrictions together with priority vaccinations for Balinese

Heard that Pfizer just put in paperwork for full approval. Next US FDA meeting on 10 December. So first ‘first World’ vaccine may be available on 11 December

UK are moving much quicker and expect to approve Pfizer by Dec 1. Hospitals expect to roll out from Dec 1.

Not that it helps Australia much anyway because until all of us are vaccinated, no one is going anywhere. Doesn't help if other countries get covid under control due to vaccine.

Another report of transmission during flight: COVID NZ: Pre-flight tests questioned as ‘healthy’ passenger infects 4

Passenger tested before flight (negative), did not show symptoms until 70 hours after arriving in NZ.

Infected multiple pax on board.

Given all infections were within four rows of patient zero, I wonder if this could not be via the air, but something like using the same WC?

Or perhaps that given all the infection were within four rows of patient zero, this could have been via direct airborne transmission (but not via air circulation system on the plane)?

It is good to see the positivity coming out of the UK. It feels a little like the light is getting closer
I’m not seeing much positive out of the UK at present. My mum and dad can’t leave their local council area, everything except the supermarkets are closed and they haven’t been able to attend their local church since March.

July 1 2021 with numerous conditions.

1st Sept 2021 fine with me, somewhere with very low COVID cases closeby in SE Asia as well, not asking much*.

*Numerous conditions OK including jabbing me with needles as required, and testing as many times pre and post airport arrival as they want, but NO Quarantine at destination nor return to Oz.

Compulsory vaccination for international travel through Qantas

I noticed in the article he is quoted as saying " if countries such as Singapore and Japan were likely to consider travel bubbles between Australia, they would send planes right away." Whilst Japan isn't going to happen, for Singapore, it's should be more "If Australia is likely to consider a travel bubble with Singapore". Singapore's happy to have Australians visit already.

Nope. New tier system to be announced today and restrictions are very light so numbers will just increase again. Going to be a long winter.

The point I was making is that another seemingly positive result has come from a vaccine and this had promoted positive thinking within the UK government into a possible way forward next year.

Must be very regional, like our states I guess. Or based on age? As soon as son was out of quarantine he was out hitting the pubs etc and prior to his arrival his partner and family took a trip from South London to the Wirral. Luckily before Manchester and Liverpool went bad.

Anyways, Oxford Vaccine is certainly hopeful.

If you want to fly Qantas, you'll need to be vaccinated.

That should assist if you don't want to sit next to an anti Vaxxer on a flight or worse, Pete Evans 😁
