What's the difference rainbowgirl?

Just to confuse matters, look at the way they announce it in their email:

Hi MrsQFWP,

Welcome to the At home Community!

From what I've seen so far, both forums are owned by Woolworths (although they try not to make this obvious). There are probably other forums including one for people who really like Do it Yourself projects.

When people started getting "My table" emails I got one for "At Home" but didn't know that it was this community until the sign up process. The initial survey is to figure out which forum is best suited to your interests. I'm guessing that the surveys and forum topics for the wall will have some similarities but other surveys and discussions will be specific to the focus of the forum. Is "My table" focussed on food or alcohol that is recommended with specific food?

The value of the gift card prizes may vary but I can't tell as I only have access to one of the forums. I almost ended up in the At home community via another survey site I belong to but for various reasons I ended up not signing up at the time.

When I looked at the "at home" wall, all the members appeared to be female but I don't know whether all members are females or just the ones making comments. If you don't like your username you have the chance to change it to one that won't identify you by your actual name. Just use the "my account" setting. They've only recently introduced this option on "At home" and I'm guessing it's available on the other WW forums.

They are all a way of getting customer feedback whether for WW or for other retailers. Some of the surveys will be commissioned by WW and others are probably commissioned by other companies. Occasionally you will get advance warnings of upcoming WW promotions. For example, based on what I have been told about the "AT home" forum from the other family member on the site, one of the upcoming collector card themes will be dinosaurs. There might be a card promotion on Pets as well.

Whoppee, just got an email saying Hannah (admin) has just commented on Mrs QF WP's post:
welcome to the At home community. Home delivery of groceries is something of a revelation isn't it!? Do you use it now instead of going in-store? Can be very convenient - especially if you detest supermarket shopping! Hope you enjoy your time in the community. Best wishes, Hannah
Shall Mrs QF WP tell her about how we've noticed online groceries are often more expensive than their comparable instore products  ;)

Stupid thing is that the "Please click the link to view your post" dorsn't do that...just takes you to the top of the page (where Mrs QF WP's comment is not shown). Stupid system...

Yes, the comment link is annoying. I've seen much better websites where the link is to the exact post on the thread. You need to go to the bottom of the page and click the "view more" button, or something similar, and hope that more posts appear. I've also had trouble with this feature as well so I agree that "At home" need a better website design.

Mrs QF WP sent a response to admin. Her original post (and Hannah's supposed response) are not showing, even after "showing more posts". The reply was startlingly quick (less than 5 minutes):

Apologies for that. We are currently in the process of adding a search function to enable members to find their post easily. We’ve had a lot of people join the community recently and they are posting on the main wall – making it less easy to find your original post. Again, apologies for this. But, this search function should be up and running very soon.

I look forward to trying the new feature when they start it. It will make following posts a lot easier. I don't really follow many posts but I followed the one you were talking about.

The latest survey I have received from "AT home" is one titled "Grocery". It is actually a survey on how members feel about proposed changes to the Everyday Rewards system.

If the proposed system goes ahead, members will get the chance to convert their points into either QFF points, money off at the register, WW evouchers or other types of rewards such as cinema vouchers.

The proposed conversion is 2000 Woolworths points for 1000 QFF points. The money off at the register and the evouchers conversion rate is 2000 points for $10 value. The cinema option and other similar redemptions would possibly offer $20 value for 2000 points but it wasn't clear what you could do with this $20 voucher. Most people can get 2 adult tickets to the cinema for $20 using other loyalty schemes so this $20 cinema voucher might only be worth $10 in value terms. The survey called these other redemptions "double value" rewards but there is no guarantee that this will be the case.

The survey said the proposed Woolworths points would be earned at 1 point per dollar but there was no mention of whether these points would start at $1 or $30 like the existing scheme.

To me, that would make this new idea probably better value. Depending on how quickly I needed to do the conversion, I reckon lots of little shops could be more rewarding to me this way than the current system.

It looks like "At home" have improved their email link issues. I got an email today from them which said someone had made a comment on a post I had been "following". The link took me to the login page but as soon as I had entered my details the system took me to the exact post I had been following so I could read the original comments and the one that had been added today.

rainbowgirl, similar experience to Mrs QF WP. The link takes you straight to the posts. Maybe they learnt from AFF :D

She has also done a couple of the new tasks and it appears they have a better system in place now. But scrolling through the task questionnaires has caused some angst.

Yes, the scrolling on the surveys has gone downhill a bit. I've seen a few complaints about the issue so hopefully they will work on fixing it.

I have been sent "invitations" to do "tasks" in the last week.Great one tonight about liquor stores. One question was which of the following is your closest liquor store. The choice was BWS.Nothing else.Talk about getting the answer you wanted!

Mrs QF WP has had 2 surveys to do today - the first about wine (where my knowledge was useful) and the second about CC usage at BWS.

The first one was long and all about what Margaret River wines she (we) knew and then focussing on Cow Bombie brand. The name puts (or should I say pats :D :)) me off to start. The different designs were interesting but not enough to overcome the name.

The second was a short one - what would we do if BWS put a surcharge on Amex.

Comments about both were a pack of wingers saying that they don't drink wine or use CC's and didn't go far in the survey. Ah yes, princesses - you don't meet the marketers target market ;)

The design of the questionnaire is still a bit offputting, but getting use to scrolling both the screen and the questionnaire to be able to read the full question and answer

I keep getting emails but find that I increasingly don't care :p

I might opt-out as it's really not my thing, they don't seem to be getting the idea, especially with the offers I keep getting too ;)
