Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Flying SYD-ZQN tomorrow and I just thought I'd check what lounge I could use. I'm WP but I think as there's no Virgin lounge and it's not a codeshare with NZ I'm out of luck. I discovered last visit when I was flying Air NZ that my Amex Velocity Platinum was no good for the Amex lounge any more.

So it looks like I've got nothing. Point Hacks suggested Plaza Premium would be okay with some Amex cards. I know nothing about them but their website doesn't mention Amex at all.

Think I'm out of luck. No meal on the plane either.

Unless you have Priority Pass or an Amex card which gives you access to the Amex lounge, you are out of luck!

It’s been one of the letdowns post administration. You are basically just paying for a big throne, I wouldn’t call it a business class experience.

The only real flight that will somewhat have lounge access is the upcoming Canberra to Bali flight, and the Gold Coast to Bali flight should have access. You just need to be lucky with an airport that has a connected terminal.

Jetstar’s new A321XLRs that are coming with Business Seats will likely offer more value and a better product on routes compared to VA.

Thanks. Was prepared for disappointment. What lounge would I have been in flying the old VA1 route to LAX? I've forgotten. So Virgin isn't really an international airline at all now is it?

Hi guys, my dad is a gold Qantas member I was just wondering if he can bring one guest into the lounge in Sydney and will I need my own frequent flyer to go in with him?

Yes, but you must be travelling on QF, JQ or oneworld marketed and operated flight on the same day:

With Hawaiian (now AS) joining OW in April, does anyone know if the HA lounge in HNL will be a practical option ahead of QF104?

I’ve seen mixed reviews of the HA lounge from cough to bad, so not sure it’s any better than the QF broom cupboard?

We’re flying in May.

Do people have opinions/experiences on the available paid lounges at KLIA1. Traveling SQ and no access to their options. I have Priority Pass and Dragonpass.

Sky Suite, Travel Club, Sama Sama (Sphere) , Plaza Premium are available.

Dare say this might not still be the same but a couple of years ago before our EY flight we got access to the Plaza Premium First lounge and thought that was pretty good. Plenty of seating and had the normal buffet plus could table orde a-la-carte meals including some tasty dishes. Had a good auto beer dispenser with ice cold beer which was a bonus..

It has been a few years since I have been there, but Plaza Premium wasn't bad.

I am flying ADL-SYD-DPS with my wife and daughter all in J. I will get J lounge access in ADL and SYD (int) which is great. My wife and daughter are flying ADL-SYD three hours later than me, then all three of us are on the same SYD-DPS QF43. Would I be able to access the J or QP lounge in Sydney domestic to wait for their arrival from ADL after me, so we can then head to the international terminal together?

Generally yes. I have been able to access the Domestic lounge before heading to international in the past.

You will need your Business boarding pass.

They may or may not advise you of the different terminals.

Thanks both, I ended up using Satelite Sky Suite as that was near the C gate for my flight.

Complimentary beer only, wine from MYR53 150ml.

Food was fine.
