Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Flying SYD-ZQN tomorrow and I just thought I'd check what lounge I could use. I'm WP but I think as there's no Virgin lounge and it's not a codeshare with NZ I'm out of luck. I discovered last visit when I was flying Air NZ that my Amex Velocity Platinum was no good for the Amex lounge any more.

So it looks like I've got nothing. Point Hacks suggested Plaza Premium would be okay with some Amex cards. I know nothing about them but their website doesn't mention Amex at all.

Think I'm out of luck. No meal on the plane either.

Unless you have Priority Pass or an Amex card which gives you access to the Amex lounge, you are out of luck!

It’s been one of the letdowns post administration. You are basically just paying for a big throne, I wouldn’t call it a business class experience.

The only real flight that will somewhat have lounge access is the upcoming Canberra to Bali flight, and the Gold Coast to Bali flight should have access. You just need to be lucky with an airport that has a connected terminal.

Jetstar’s new A321XLRs that are coming with Business Seats will likely offer more value and a better product on routes compared to VA.

Thanks. Was prepared for disappointment. What lounge would I have been in flying the old VA1 route to LAX? I've forgotten. So Virgin isn't really an international airline at all now is it?
