Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Read the story about Int'l Business to Economy connections allowing lounge access. Does this also apply to someone flying Business on QF SYD-PER connecting to an Economy-only flight out of Perth to regional WA?

No; one flight must be international and scheduled for more than 5 hours or and the others for 5 hours or less.

Sadly, I've been refused access to the J lounge in PER in this exact situation.

Hi, in a few weeks I am doing a trip to the USA. My final city destination is Washington DC and flying out of Dulles

My booking is all via Qantas (am gold status) - flying out of Dulles on Alaskan (AS1097) to LAX where i'm connecting onto QF94 to Melbourne.

I'm wondering if I'll have any lounge access at dulles? - I know QF has no affiliated lounge there, but would my oneworld sapphire status work when i'm flying on a oneworld flight that day, but it's not my next flight? (I don't believe QF offer a QF flight number on AS1097)

Assistance much appreciated!

Hi - there's a BA lounge at Concourse B, but I don't believe you can access it if you're on an AS flight, regardless of who ticketed it. Give it a shot, of course - AS do partner with both BA and QF - but I think your best bet if you'll be there a while and don't wish to hang out with the great unwashed, is to use Priority Pass or Lounge Buddy to buy into the Turkish Airlines lounge on Concourse B.

Cheers,
Matt.

G'day everyone,

Just a quick question:

I am QF Gold on QF8433 (EK operated 433) departing BNE at 0235. Does EK allow guesting into their lounges (my friend will be on the same flight as me)? Or am I better off to go to the QF lounge which apparently closes at midnight (ie 2.5 hours before the flight)?

Thanks in advance.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

You can guest someone traveling on the same flight (this is an EK/QF partner rule).

I would not even bother QF's lounge offering - the EK lounge IMHO as it is far better.
Thanks for the quick response.

I agree with your assessments of the lounges, EK was always going to be my first pick :)

A quick Star Alliance question..... Flying UA from EWR to PDX in Business soon then later to SFO. Will I get into the UA lounges (such as they are) as an SQ Gold?
I believe SQ Gold pax get access to the excellent new Polaris lounge at SFO when I transfer to HKG so just interested in the domestic legs. Thanks in advance.

Ok so I'm QF Gold and have an upcoming trip to the US. Unfortunately given the large price difference my employer has booked our whole party on VA with US domestic connections by Delta all in J. This is my itinerary:

1 - ADL -> BNE on VA
2 - BNE -> LAX on VA
3 - LAX -> DEN on DL with VA codeshare
4 - DEN -> LAX on DL with VA codeshare
5 - LAX -> SYD on DL with VA codeshare
6 - SYD -> ADl on VA

As I only have Silver with VA, what are my lounge access rights for flights 3,4,5 given I'll be in J on a VA flight number all on the same international itinerary?

Yeah thats my problem, the delta site is unclear and was hoping someone on the forum may have run this route before...

I think the link I provided is quite clear. (FWIW, the content has been recently updated).

You should get access according to the parts I highlighted:

I have a 5 hour stopover in lax. What lounge am I able to use?
