Yes, its 914:824 at the moment, so your statistical analysis is correct. I thought that would be your greatest hurdle to overcome. But I'll be away Thursday/Friday next week in SYD and CBR with little acccess...heh, maybe I should wait for you and we can post our 1K message together!! A combined celebration.
You had better find those QP computers while you are away. Or better still, graduate to the world of roaming dialup for you laptop!

Hmm, are batman and robin hatching a scheme here?

I don't nessassarily think that NM will beat you, more that it is a distinct possibility. As time goes by though, I think it less likely
Now that could prove to be my challenge  . Naah, Lindsay richly deserves the accolades for reaching that milestone first. I just post a lot of jibberish along the way :p .

Besides, I would need a 2:1 posting rate compared with LW between now and 1000, and that's not gonna happen.
Talking about jibberish I am now a posting freak. I am just about to add this to my resume. Hobbies "Golf", "Posting freak on AFF" :D I am sure any prospective employer will take note. :D Talking about spending way too much time on this board.

By the way you are now only 82 posts behind. 8) My money is still on you. With me backing you there is a lot of weight for you to carry in your bid for getting to the millenium first. :D If you get bogged down in the mud by Friday and Lindsay gets close to the millenium then I may change who I think will get there first. :D

Pretty good chance you'll get to 1000 before me. In fact, I suspect you will be passing my by my number of posts in the not too distant future.

I have wireless access, but never seem to be places where free wi-fi can be acessed . Access at hotels waaaay too expensive for the short period of time I'd be on them...I work harder when I'm away on trips than I do when I'm at my office.

NM and Lindsay as Batman & Robin, I think not. Neither of us are short...and who would be Alfred??

:D I did rough calculations the other day and worked out I will to get to 1000 posts by 2011. Maybe I will get there a bit quicker. I have just been lucky that the last few weeks there has been a lot of posts about jibberish which plays right into my hands.

I have way too much time on my hands. I think I need a fulltime job in the not too distant future. :D

With no knowledge of what other people have posted and having no clues as to what the current post count is I'm going to make a total guess and say 2300 hours on 29th October 2005.

:)

Regards
Daniel

I just wish the rules allowed me to change my guess, but alas and alack they do not. I think you may be closer to the mark than I am.

Oh, the man behind the scenes with all the advice and answers ... that would have to be the multi-star DSN :D .

But somehow I don't think any of our vehicles could be placed in the Batmobile category ... certainly not my collection of "family" cars  (looks like I found a home for my oldest one 8) ).

And now it is 918:848 the gap is ever so closer.

The favourite is galloping up and down in the one spot while the outsider is coming home 2:1.

The finishing post can't come quick enough for Lindsay. Go the underdog but I think Lindsay is keeping something in reserve.

Geez, first a horse, now a dog. What next? A guinea pig?

Maybe we need to feed Lindsay something he is passionate about as fodder for posting?? Who is willing to start a thread about the best Australian Reds to take overseas as a gift? That should give him some good ammunition :D . Or perhaps something about the best itinerary and accommodation options for the Rugby Sevens?

He is ignoring us until the deadline on Friday.

Unfortunately the bird may have flown the coup by then. :D

No, just unlike some people, I had some work to do today (meeting and client reports) :p .

NM just SMS'ed me so I thought I should log on to see what's been happening in my absence (apt timing, just finished the last job for the day).

Ah, BlacKnox, the 8.5 star (*) dsn that would be the guru Dave Noble (of Flyertalk fame) and his famed "travel agency" (or encyclopaediac knowledge of flying). I speak with him regularly about my travel (as recently as lunch-time). Yes, NM, he jut earned another half * today by advising A class availability on AA for our flights MIA/SFO. Now to go and nab those seats tomorrow.

Only half a star? Must have been the 757 service. A class on the 763 service is certainly worth a whole star :D .

So, to all those that haven't voted yet, what's it to be?? Voting closes Friday 5pm....

I can see that NM is catching me up, but he's still 60 posts behind me...

He's doing well, keeping up the 2:1 posting rate that he needs.
