Even though the Q2 promotion has yet to end, I see you can already check out the Q3 promotion. Personally, I didn't have any need to travel anywhere coming up... but I think I can easily and cheaply stay at the IC 5 times and another property 2 times to completely capitalise on this quarter.

Stay once in September for 3,000 bonus points. Not likely. Stay once for 2,000 bonus points and then bonus points after the 12th night through to the 27th night in some sort of increment that does not interest me. For a grand total of a whopping 45,600 bonus points.

Yeah right. As a Platinum I have stayed 2 nights this year. This is not the promotion that will encourage me to stay more....

So four nights for 10K.

After that it's 3K every further three nights until night 19 where 15K comes in for a total of 37.2k.

I'll stay one night in September for a bonus worth ~$15 (at a place without a Hyatt).

I totally agree with you John, nothing in my very similar offer to give me any incentive to stay at IHG properties. The goals are simply unattainable.

I've spent enough nights this year to requalify for Gold Elite but wont get near Platinum.

A few more nights at Hilton to get Silver or even higher again might be in order.

You don't get the status fast track at end of year? I have had "stay 3 more nights and we'll gift you Platinum" the past 2 years. Not expecting that again this year but only makes a difference at HI Sukhumvit where they give me lounge access and include breakfast but we don't stay there often enough to matter.

Getting close to 800,000 points and I would like to reach 1,000,000 points for fun.

Which is now only 2 returns to Asia in business? Not useful to me at all. Those points are enough for 80 nights at HI Chiang Mai which retails for a minimum $70/night.

I have no intention of visiting Chiang Mai.

As for flying, I wouldn't waste 'em on Asia, let alone business. The flights are too short.

It's a return Oz to USA in business for me.

My recent Brisbane stay was posted almost immediately in my IHG "Recent Activity" but still hasn't shown up in the "Accelerate" page.

How long would you wait before chasing it up?

I have no idea, but none of my September stays have appeared in Accelerate (with the first one being on 2/9), so I'm thinking IHG has problems, yet again.

It seems to take around 6 weeks from what I can see
