Well it should be in the time window now for registering. Looks like my double yolkers will continue for a little longer.

however these T&C were inserted in the last promotion and we know how that has worked out for many.
I'd also note this wording(which is new) in the fine print:

Full or part travel of an itinerary is eligible only if you book (regardless of payment date) and travel within the promotional dates as listed above

"promotion dates" is 23/10-30/6/19. Is that the same as "promotion period"? I can sure argue a case that it is.
Now, what I have quoted again refers to "book now pay later" stuff, as specified on the page, but it's surely the same (in an operational sense) for GV usage.

It's clear what QF intend, but it's also clear what their system can handle.

Obviously things can change and their systems get smarter, and it's up to each punter how they want to play this.


I'd also note the travel by dates end June 30, 2019 - ie the end of the financial year. This is the very first time I can recall a bonus SC promo ending NOT 353 days ahead (ie: the Amadeus max booking window)... it's an interesting change, and may provide a clue as to what is driving this promotion (being so soon after the previous one, which in fact has travel periods that exceed 30 June, 2019)

This is now up on the QF home page.

also noted the addition of DSC not being eligible for the "Status Accelerator" promotion. I presume that's the 200 SC Gold Challenge people have discussed elsewhere. Obviously that restriction makes sense.
 
Ugh, booked an international return last night, how frustrating :-(

Definitely not worth the $400 cancellation but I'm definitely kicking myself right now!

Well that sucks in my particular case. I'll have to check the precise booking window dates for both the targeted 50% offer I registered for and the current universal DSC offer. It's possible that the 50% one expires a day or so before the DSC, so that day is when I'll have to book if I want to take full advantage.
 
Just checked with my TA re cancelling current J fare to USA and rebooking: fare has gone up by $2440 (plus have to factor in cancellation fees). Extra 540 SC for ~$3200 = $5.90 per SC.
 
A quick question, will booking through a travel agent with my QFF still counts to double SC as long as the flights is within the promo period?

Sales must be bad for QF as they are looking rather desparate with 3 double SC prmoos within 10 months!!! I still have my Syd-Lhr rtn in J in November to fly from the first double SC promo in February!

Or they are strategically trying to wrest a lot of booking from VA and other carriers to cause them revenue pain...because they can ;)
